MEET PRINSCILLIA-DEMOCRAT

CAMPAIGN BIOGRAPHY (1)_edited.jpg

Prinscillia Sumpter was born and raised in South Carolina, mostly in Berkeley County. At the age of 10 she was placed in Foster Care, and remained in Foster Care until she aged out. Thankfully, God placed Prinscillia with some praying Foster Parents who taught her the love of God and how to live right, which is the driving force behind her compassion to help and serve others.

Growing up in Foster Care was not easy and this is why she became a Guardian at Litem, to be an advocate for children while encouraging these youth that things will get better and being in a foster home do not define who you are.

Prinscillia exited High School early, then went back and earned her GED to further her education. She went on to earn her certification in Nursing while furthering her Nursing Career. Prinscillia was quickly promoted to Staffing Director and other Leadership roles.

Afterwards falling in love with advocating for others she earned a Bachelor of Science in Organization Management from Voorhees College, then a Master’s in Human Resource Management from Webster University and another Master’s in Health Care Administration.  Bring her education to a complete circle she earned her South Carolina Nursing Home Administrator license and currently remain in good standing with the state.

Prinscillia desired to work in a role where she can make a difference. In her endeavors, she has held the role as Program Manager for a few years over five CTH II homes that provide care for adults with intellectual disabilities. She was Chief AOD at one of South Carolinas ICF facilities that provide care to adults with intellectual disabilities, and she held the role as Executive Director over a few Nursing Homes throughout the State as an Interim Director.

During her employment journey she started PDS Home Health and HR Management LLC. With her passion and empathy for those who struggle financially and emotionally is what has led her to start PDS Advocacy and Social Assistance, a nonprofit organization.

Prinscillia is not a politician, but she knows how the system has succeeded and failed the citizens of South Carolina and constituents in District 32. She knows the regulations and laws in South Carolina more than most given her career path. She has no undercover interest other than helping others live better and not just surviving.

Change is uncomfortable, but often times it is necessary. We cannot want change if we keep doing the same thing. Voting on name recognition has no been  beneficial for the citizens that matter, citizens without deep pockets.

Prinscillia decline to give everyone free fish sandwiches and alcohol to sway your vote, that trust need to be earned honestly. what she can do is put District 32 first. She truly believes both parties need to work together to be successful, however she will not leave District out to appease others.
